Disable editor for some users? (4 posts)

    Hi there,
Thanks, this is a very useful plugin. I am wondering if there is any way to disable it for some users, though? Some of our posts use quicktags and somewhat complicated HTML formatting, and for some reason Xingha totally scrambles it. For these users, the text editor would work better... any way to disable it?

    Thanks,

By the way, the reason the HTML was being scrambled was that the user didn't have the ability to post unfiltered HTML. That was corrected with the Role Manager, but I still see how it could be useful to disable the editor for particular users. Thanks.

This is definitely on my list. I\'m working to finally architect the plugin to \'replace\' TinyMCE, but still obey the \'Rich Text Editor\' settings globally and for users in general.

Aha, great news. Yes, in the meantime I\'ve just removed tinymce from the /wp-includes directory altogether, but I think a correct replacement by the Xinha plugin would be more elegant and easier to upgrade. I will watch closely for any updates to the plugin.

By the way, your plugin was instrumental in building my newest site - http://www.storycorps.net. We\'ve listed all of the plugins we use on the website credits page (linked in the lower left corner). I am getting together some money to make donations to all of the plugin developers who have helped. Thanks.
