I'm able to write new posts using Xinha4WP, but I can't seem to get it to work when editing existing posts - all I see is the default html interface (I've disabled wordpress' own rich-text editor).

Strangely, the spellchecker works even when editing, it's the interface that does not.

This seems to be a problem specific to Firefox and browsers sharing the same core; Both Firefox 2.0 and Flock(based on Firefox) have the same problems. I don't have any problems when using IE 6.0, however.

Ok, I've isolated the problem - apparently Snap Preview Anywhere and Xinha4WP don't like each other, and since the preview screen loads Snap it prevented Xinha4WP from loading. Removed the Snap code, and now Xinha4WP works like a charm.

That's interesting. I used Snap preview on one of my blogs where I used Xinha4WP and never had an issue with it - I never recall Snap Preview loading in the admin screens - that's just wrong. I guess it depends on the plugin you're using to enable Snap preview.

I was using v1.0 of this plugin

I don't think I edited it or anything.

I was directly pasting the code, but not even the plugin could work for me. The Post Preview part when writing or editing always loads the entire post page, and that included the Snap Preview code which always seems to interfere with Xinha's loading.

Xinha definitely conflicts with the Snap Preview Anywhere, whether with or without the Plugin (the latest version of the one linked by Mike above). SPA works fine when either the Preview is off (via Clutterfree plugin) or if you use the default WP WYSIWYG editor (using WP 2.1)

XINHA causes the Post Preview to hang and you cannot see the editor. But I have found that if you get to that hanging point (i.e. everything else has loaded), you can simply hit escape and the WYSIWYG toolbars come up fine.

Not a great workaround, but better that disabling XINHA, or disabling the post preview, or disabling SPA.

That's interesting. I had Snap Preview going for a while and it never caused any problems. I finally removed SPA because it was annoying the heck out of me everytime I went over one of my links.

I think it may actually be an issue with WP 2.1 The blog I had SPA enabled on and Xinha4WP was WP 2.0.x So it might be a combination of the three. I'll try to dig into it some more. I know WP 2.1 changed the Javascript loader so that may be part of the issue.
