Xinha and autosave function in WP 2.1 (8 posts)

    Seems that the activation of Xinha in WP 2.1.3 broke the autosave function. :(
    With Xinha disabled, the autosave works properly but once activated, the post isn't autosaved anymore.
    Any ideas?

    Our WP 2.1.3 System works perfectly with Xinha and Autosave!

    Testing other plugins, I noted a memory exhausted error trying to upload ad image, using the standard upload form in WP.
    I deactivated a couple of plugins, and the error was gone.
    Following this result, I activated again Xinha and.. bingo, the autosave works like a charm! :)
    The memory error prevent my blog to autosave with Xinha active, but now the problem is solved.

    No way, wrong statement... the autosave doesnt' work...
    I updated to the last Xinha4WP versione (1.2b) but nothing.

    I also have no trouble with WP 2.1.3 and Xinha4WP v1.2b Autosave works fine.

    Can you list the plugins you have installed and active - I suspect some type of conflict. Try disabling them one by one and definitely watch for memory issues. Xinha4WP should not boost memory usage much - we try to only load what is necessary. But if you're seeing memory errors without clicking anything, than the autosave is hitting your memory limit (what is it set to? 8MB is asking for trouble)

    Hi Mike, I bumped into the autosave problem myself and noticed the following:
    I deactivated all my plugins but xinha: NO SAVE.
    I deactivated xinha AND used wp rich editor: WORKED.
    I deactivated wp rich editor: NO SAVE
    I re-activated xinha without wp rich editor: NO SAVE
    I have wp 2.1.3... Do you have any idea?

    I'm really stumped by this. My one curiosity would be which version and type of browser you're using. On my WP 2.1 sites, I see the autosave notices.

    I'll look into it, but I'm wondering if maybe it has to do with the browser in use - I love Firefox, but I've seen certain things in Xinha stop working after a FF upgrade then suddenly work again (same version of Xinha) after a new release of FireFox.

    So let me know the browser, version, and OS you're using.
